Settings

hmtoggle_plus1[1] Skin

Choose from numerous skins with this dropdown, the change should be immediately visible.

hmtoggle_plus1[2] Temp Directory

Metropolis Launcher uses a directory for temporary files and folders. In most cases this directory is used for file extraction from packed files (e.g. zip files). Please consider creating a dedicated temp directory for Metropolis Launcher. Metropolis Launcher will keep the temp directory clean by deleting no longer used files and sub-directories.

hmtoggle_plus1[3] Extras Directory

Metropolis Launcher utilizes a directory structure for accompanying extras (snapshots, boxart, etc.), more info on that can be found here.

Set the root directory of the extras directory structure in the text field.

hmtoggle_plus1[4] Screenshots Directory

If you are using a system-wide screenshot tool that saves screenshots in a certain directory, you can tell this directory to Metropolis Launcher so it will be monitored during your gaming sessions. If you take screenshots Metropolis Launcher will file the screenshots under the game you played.

Metropolis Launcher also supports Emulator-specific screenshot directories. See the Emulator Settings section.

hmtoggle_plus1[5] Backup Directory

Metropolis Launcher incorporates a simple backup solution where a backup is made as a .zip file and saved within the Backup Directory. Define the Backup Directory here.

hmtoggle_plus1[6] DOSBox Working Directory

Metropolis Launcher uses one subdirectory within the DOSBox working directory for each game in order to unpack files and provides it as the root of the mounted hard disk drive C.

If you are using a DOSBox version with the 7z/zip mount patch and the patch option is activated in the DOSBox settings, Metropolis Launcher will not unpack any provided zip file but mount it together with the game's working directory in order to keep created or altered files.

Please consider to create a dedicated DOSBox working directory for Metropolis Launcher.

Metropolis Launcher not just allows you to launch an emulator with the game's files as command line parameters. You can also launch your very own scripts. In order to use the AutoIt scripting environment, provide the path to the AutoIt executable here.
